I’ve been through my own struggles with alcohol, and entered residential rehab in 2007 as a single mum of 3 young children. It was an immense challenge but I overcame many demons with the help of empathetic professionals. I decided to retrain from teacher to counsellor so that I could support others in addressing unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and live meaningful, contented lives. After 16 years in recovery, I understand that every journey is different but we all strive for the same thing: inner contentment and sustainable change.

I provide a space where you can talk confidentially and experience warmth and acceptance from someone who wants to see things from your perspective. We will work together to understand what you are going through, making sense of things can give you back control. A stronger sense of self emerges which makes you feel more able to cope and manage what you find difficult. My way of working helps you trust your instincts and gain confidence. You will be able to make decisions which are not influenced by others, giving you more independence. We can find a way to come to terms with things and explore what you would like to be different.

Hi my names Gen, I specialise in anxiety, relationships and low self esteem counselling. If you feel that you are struggling with any of theses issues or just need someone to talk to, I can help you to explore these things and look at how we can move forward and work through them. We will take the time to explore what you have been dealing with and look at different ways of how therapy can help you. I will listen to your needs and adapt our sessions so that you feel comfortable enough to discuss anything you’d like too.

Past traumas haunt us, while the unpredictable future worries us -living in the present becomes increasingly more difficult. The constant that we can rely on is change. My aim is to help you take control of the change that you want to make, to claim the life you want for yourself, to find your meaning in your life and live it as fully as possible. I draw from different skills/models acquired over the years during clinical practice and training. My background in performing arts ensures that creative thinking is at the heart of my work. I believe that a holistic approach supports in processing and healing from traumatic events safely.

Living with difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences can drain our energy and affect the quality of our lives and relationships. We all need support from time to time, and talking with a therapist in a confidential and supportive setting can help us understand ourselves better and consider what we would like to change in our lives or relationships. My aim in therapy is to offer you a safe space where you can look at what’s going on for you, explore what you want and find ways to manage this and move on.

Hi, I'm Nicky. I can help if you are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, or coming to terms with long-term health issues. If you find yourself fitting around everyone else's needs at the expense of your own or have not been able to move on from past experiences, or are overloaded then I can help you to turn things around. I offer a warm, safe, confidential space to talk and overcome the challenges you are facing, tune into your emotions, so they become your guide rather than overwhelm you. Most importantly build a new relationship with yourself and feel more confident and in control of your life.

Do you find yourself feeling stuck, lost, frustrated or frequently sad? Are there feelings you feel have lingered or not been dealt with for some time? It is often the case we feel, if we are carrying on as 'normal' then we are fine. How often do you find yourself using the phrase; 'I'm fine' when in actual fact you feel anything but, but at the same time can not put a word/emotion or meaning to the thoughts and emotions you are experiencing? I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore, express or work out how to express anything you need to, I am here to really listen, see and hear you! Please feel free to contact me

Hi, I am a registered psychologist with the HCPC. I have worked in the NHS for over seventeen years including children and adolescents, adults, EIS (psychosis) and also prison mental health, so my experience is pretty varied. I believe that everybody is different and as such work to help develop an understanding of what is going on for you, before exploring what intervention is likely to be the most effective. I also complete ASC assessments as part of a multi disciplinary team

Living (or parenting a child) with the effects of trauma and other mental health difficulties can feel impossible. Unfortunately, finding help can be a daunting process with so many solutions being offered and not all of them being evidence based. The next best step is often to get in touch for a free 15 minute consultation to find out if I feel like the right fit for you or your child.

Finding the therapist that is right for you may feel a challenge, especially at a time when you may be feeling vulnerable or uncertain, perhaps facing a crisis point. This is not unusual, whether you have undertaken therapy in the past or whether this is the first time you have sought therapy. Sometimes we need help to overcome conflicts and blocks in ourselves and in our relationships that are confusing and difficult to face. I understand that you are a unique and complex individual, with many facets and aspects of who you are, how you experience yourself, and how you have had to adapt as you confront life's struggles.

I've been working with people for over 20 years, joining them in sense-making journeys that allow them to live more content and meaningful lives. My focus is to help people explore their thoughts, emotions and past to alleviate difficult states or obstacles to their wellbeing. When people understand what drives their behaviour and reconnect with lost parts of themselves, they can reengage in positive relationships and feel they can own their life. Symptoms like anxiety, depression or a sense of futility and unhappiness are usually linked to past experience and therapy can facilitate a safe frame to revisit them.

Life can present us with unwelcome events at any age. Professional counselling can't change these events but can provide tools and techniques to help minimise their impact. In my practise, counselling is primarily about the relationship between you and me. It is a talking therapy where we can explore what is troubling you in a safe, non-judgemental setting. Every person is an individual and therefore counselling can be different for everyone. I am more relationship driven rather than theory driven.
