I have worked with anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions and relationship/family issues.
I imagine you’re here because life feels just too much for you right now. I am sorry you’re struggling but you don’t have to do this on your own. Do contact me. I counsel people who feel anxious, lost or stuck. We’ll explore together these difficulties and look for new solutions, so you can move forward with your life feeling lighter and more empowered. I hold a holistic approach, with the core idea that wellbeing is attained through a balance across our physical, emotional, intellectual, environmental and spiritual health. I try to include all of these dimensions so you can bring as much of yourself as you want into our sessions.

"I just want to talk about everything that is going on...!". "I want to be happy". "I am looking for a place to vent". "Some days the world is too big". "I do not know what is happening to me". "I am sad". "I am anxious". "I am stressed". "Work is too much". "I feel lonely". "I have a problem with my partner, friends, children, teachers, family, work colleagues...". These are some of the things that I had heard from friends, relatives, colleagues, clients over the years when they are looking for a different point of view or extra support in their life.

A family tree is drawn to gain understanding of family influences and I help explore and change communication patterns to improve relationships.
I am an emotional focussed couple and family systemic psychotherapist, body dramatherapist, and clinical supervisor. I have 40 years' experience in mental health settings and 30 years in private practice. I am a warm, empathic therapist and highly value my relationship with my clients. I go on exploratory journeys with clients, with them leading and together we make meaning and sense as we navigate through difficulties and worries and at times having fun along the way. At some point the therapy stops at an agreed moment by the client when they feel they have reached a more comfortable place in their life and in their relationships.

I look at systems (family, work, school, culture) as well as you as an individual, to get a better idea of how to help you.
Hi! Are you feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed? Perhaps you have had difficult life experiences that you've never processed. Maybe you just want to be heard. I offer a safe, non-judgemental space to come and chat. The work is led by you, with me as a companion guide. My aim is to help you help yourself to find what you need - whether that be peace, understanding, answers or space to just be. We may explore the past and how that influences the present. Throughout the work we will build on your strengths, finding resilience and wellbeing through our conversations and the actions you put into place to look after yourself.

I love to spend time with my family and friends, particularly my two little nephews(!), watch comedy and travel.
Hi, I’m Ilan! I’m a Clinical Psychologist and Director of The Oak Tree Practice. I want to tell you a bit more about myself, as I realise selecting a psychologist can be a tough task! I feel very privileged to be able to say I love what I do and always have, ever since I started volunteering for ChildLine in 2007. Following this, I’ve had experience working with a wide variety of clients including children, young people, adults, older adults, military personnel, individuals with learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders and neurological conditions. I have also furthered my studies through the completion of undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees. All this aside, one of the most important parts of my work is building relationships with those sitting opposite me. I have always believed that you can have all the training and knowledge in the world, but if the client doesn’t return, none of this can be put into action. Therefore, my first aim is always to provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental space where we can work on the clients’ difficulties together.
