After completion of my MA in Transpersonal /Integrative Child, Adolescents and Family Therapy in 2018, I now also take on children and adolescents, using play and art therapy as well as sand tray therapy to help to resolve trauma, stress, anxiety, depression and self harm.
My main approach is to encourage you to explore your feelings and take responsibility for your thoughts and actions. As I work in a way that empowers the client, I always work with what you present. Bottled up feelings such as anger, anxiety, grief, jealousy, sadness, shame and pain can become very overwhelming. The opportunity to express them can make it much easier to understand yourself and others. As I acknowledge your feelings and respect you as a person in your own right, you gain self-respect and a sense of being valued. This leads to building trust between counsellor and client, which is an essential part of the process.

Hey! What brings you here? What hurts? What are your struggles? What keeps you stuck? Is it a relationship with a loved one? A parent, a child, a partner or a friend? Is it depression, overwhelming feelings of sadness, loss of joy, sleepless nights, no desire to get out of bed, avoiding friends or family members? Is it anxiety or panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, constantly worrying, creating worst scenarios? Is it a sense of not feeling good enough, comparing yourself to others in a negative light, second guessing your actions, feeling judged, having a sense that your existence is a waste of time?

Others might be parents struggling with connecting to their children, facing difficult.
Helping children with early symptoms of the autistic spectrum has been my life’s work. My goal as the Principal of the Parent-Infant Clinic and of the School of Infant Mental Health in London is to help parents and professionals identify the early signs in autistic spectrum, for it is in these early stages, which can be seen as early as 3 months, when the greatest results can be achieved. I am a practicing adult and child psychotherapist, having worked in the National Health Service and privately for 32 years on detecting early signs in the autistic spectrum and providing early treatment to children and adults.

I had extensive training on a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Play-therapy and Art based therapy which now forms part of my work with children.
I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor that works with Children and Young People from ages 3-18 As a Psychodynamic Counsellor I believe that unconscious processes guide our ways of relating to each other. At the centre of my practice is the child’s well-being and safety. I aim to create a safe space for children to feel able to be themselves without judgment, what Winnicott refers as the 'facilitating environment’, where the child’s inner world can be explored.

Child Counsellors
Do I need to attend therapy with my child?
Parents are an integral part of a child’s therapy, but the specifics of their involvement vary. If your child is young, you may attend most or all sessions; if your child is older, you may attend a few sessions or none; sometimes a therapist may ask you to have a session on your own. Whatever the arrangement, you should expect to work collaboratively with the therapist, your child, and your family members to take steps to help support your child.
How long are sessions with child therapists?
Children’s therapy sessions can last 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. The length of the session may depend on your child’s age and the type of therapy practiced. You can discuss this with therapists you consult and the one you ultimately move forward with.
How do I get a child to agree to seek therapy?
The best approach is to have an open-ended conversation with your child about how they’re doing and what they might be struggling with. When you raise therapy, discuss the concept in an age-appropriate way, for example explaining that a therapist’s job is to help kids handle their hard or uncomfortable feelings. Frame therapy positively, as an opportunity to explore and build emotional skills—it’s an important tool in the toolbox to help kids feel their best.
How can I tell if a therapist is a good fit for my child?
A child needs to feel comfortable opening up about their thoughts and feelings, so if your child feels a sense of comfort, ease, and trust with their therapist, that’s a great sign. In addition, a therapist is a good fit for your child if the two can communicate well together; a clinician should be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in an age-appropriate manner.
