I am a qualified Group Analyst and Psychotherapist, working with groups, couples, and individuals. I have extensive experience working in the NHS, the voluntary sector and in further education, particularly in the areas of sexual health, drug and alcohol addiction, and mental health. A group analytic group meets weekly for 90 minutes in a confidential and a containing space. Over time, you will experience the benefits of exploring with other group members the issues that burden you and are causing you distress. We look at your past, as a means of exploring and understanding how it has shaped your present.

I am an integrative therapist (UKCP and MBACP) and my practice is influenced by a variety of therapeutic approaches. My focus is relational, attachment-informed and embodied. This means I believe we can gain as much insight from how we interact, as from the content of what we say. My practice draws on childhood, inter-generational and wider cultural experiences to make sense of thoughts, feelings and sensations in the present. I believe that working with our physicality and paying attention to our bodily sensations can enhance our understanding of ourselves.

I could write all sorts here as most do but the bottom line is this; if you are experiencing any form of hardship, come and talk to me. I am here to help you and will cater your experience to you as there is only one of you. Lets make that commitment to each other and work through whatever it is. Together.

Moving towards a more fulfilling and authentic life can be challenging, especially when you feel stuck in your past or unable to change habits and patterns of behaviour. Maybe you are struggling to set boundaries or recognise your own needs. Perhaps you are in physical discomfort, feel depressed or have a sense of being lost in life. Our work together will explore the beliefs and stories we have created about ourselves over time, that can hold us back. No matter how confused or overwhelmed you may feel, my aim is to support you on your journey to a healthier, happier life.

I aim to create a safe space to support your journey at a pace that feels right for you. I am passionate about working holistically and connecting with both the mind and body. I gently work together with my clients to help respond from their inherent potential, rather than learnt patterns, fostering choice and empowerment. Throughout my experience, I have seen how much change, healing and opportunity can come out of difficulty and enjoy holding this potential with my clients. Working closely with people from different backgrounds, ethnicities and spectrums, I advocate, welcome and celebrate all differences.

I understand every client to be unique in their personality and needs, and that while one therapeutic approach may be very helpful for a particular person, for another it might not be. I aim to provide plenty of space for you to tell your story, placing a greater or lesser emphasis on your childhood, using more or less structured thinking and diagrams, or perhaps trying gentle but effective behavioural techniques. I have helped people with a wide range of difficulties such as stress, feelings of depression, low self-esteem, anxiety (including, phobias and panic attacks) and difficult relationship and workplace problems.

I follow a holistic approach tailored to your needs. Driven by curiosity and the healing potential harnessed in the therapeutic relationship, I will walk alongside you in your journey. With a diverse background I offer sessions in several languages. My role as a therapist is to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world, develop self-awareness, and make meaningful changes in your life. I will meet you where you are, as the greatest healing comes from the relationship we will develop, where you will be able to rewrite outdated past narratives and relational patterns that no longer serve you.

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel like a big one. So, congratulations on making the decision to come here and look for help. I can help you take the next steps towards a better future. You might be coming to therapy for help with a specific problem, such as coping with anxiety or depression or an earlier traumatic experience. Maybe something in your life has changed: a relationship has broken down or you are facing a loss, and you need help to process it and get through this difficult phase. Or you might be feeling lonely or lost yourself, or simply stuck in life, and need help finding where to go now.

Are you experiencing the symptoms of trauma: flashbacks, panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, anger, disrupted relationships and difficulties in your working life? Perhaps, you are suffering with disrupted sleep, dissociation (mental and physical). Maybe you have lived with some of these symptoms for a long time and have grown to consider them normal. You may now be at the point where you want to and feel able to do something about this because you want to get on and enjoy your life.

At times of difficulty it can be helpful to explore your concerns with a trained practitioner and consider possible solutions in a safe and confidential setting. The focus of therapeutic work is centred on your experience, helping you to clarify the issues that are troubling you, your thoughts and feelings and enabling you to find solutions. This work can provide a way forward and help at times of crisis when difficulties can be extreme, such as depression and anxiety. It can also be helpful when there is a lack of enjoyment of life or recurring difficulties in relationships. Counselling can bring you a greater awareness of choice.

Perhaps you feel stuck, find yourself in the middle of a crisis, or you want a space in which to examine and reflect on your own story and what has brought you to the point you're at now. Perhaps you want to see if there is another way of telling your story. My intention is to grow a unique and collaborative relationship with you. We may work on your present situation as well as the whole of your history. The confidential space that therapy provides can bring healing of old patterns and wounds. It is my own wounds and periods of suffering and the growth that arose from those moments that have drawn me to this work.
