My experience spans over 25. Years working with adults, couples, and children, adolescents, I've successfully assisted individuals dealing with an array of challenges. This includes learning difficulties, intricate family dynamics, and providing support to young offenders. In addition to traditional therapy, I offer 'walk and talk' sessions, recognising the need for a dynamic and open environment. I integrate art and play therapy to foster creative expression.

Maybe you feel as though you are negotiating between intersecting parts of yourself such as your mind, body, heart and soul and you’re finding it difficult to find a balance that feels sincere to you. Perhaps this back and forth is affecting how you behave with your family, friends or partner and you’re finding it difficult to cope. You want to live a life where you can integrate more aspects of yourself and feel more whole, to hear and trust yourself, without fear of feeling shame, feeling seen or even feeling truly known by those who matter most to you.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor. I have experience working with clients on a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, loss & self-esteem. My integrative training emphasises the importance of the relationship between client & counsellor. The client is given the opportunity to lead the way, I will actively listen and respond to what the client brings, aiming to provide an environment which feels safe, empathic and open-minded. I will however, at times, be challenging in a constructive way, allowing for potential therapeutic change, discovery & shifting within the client.

I am an Integrative therapist trained in working with individuals and couples. I understand what it feels like to feel isolated and alone with your problems, I also understand what it feels like to be weary of seeking external support and the worry that may come with trying to find the ‘right’ therapist. I have a passion for supporting people from all walks of life, and together we can work towards you learning more about yourself and being able to use that knowledge to improve the way you manage difficult situations and emotions.

I have experience of working with clients with a wide variety of issues including depression, anger, anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement, loss, stress, low self esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation and relationship issues. We all deal with emotional issues in our lives from time to time and it is when those issues become overwhelming and begin to get in the way of us living a fulfilling life, that it might be the right time to seek counselling. In my practice I offer a genuine, friendly and non-judgmental relationship with my clients.

Therapy can be a life changing experience, a time for growth, exploration and personal development. You may be coming in the hope to resolve some past or current experiences or you may feel overwhelmed, confused, lost, stuck. You might be experiencing difficult symptoms and unhelpful behaviours that inhibit you from living your life to the full. Perhaps you struggle in your environment to fully thrive. I welcome people of any gender identity, sexuality or with any relationship style. I deeply respect difference and actively practice anti-racism. Together we can work on whatever might be the right approach for you.

Most of us feel like we need extra support at one point or another in our lives. We might be feeling adrift or unable to navigate life’s obstacles or we might feel incapable of verbalising what is getting in the way of leading a joyful life. We may sense that we need to make a change but we don’t know where to start. Talking to friends or family might feel uncomfortable or even impossible, which can leave us feeling lonely and unsure if we will ever feel happy again. My role is to provide you with a safe space where, together, we can make sense of your thoughts and feelings and enable you to make positive and lasting change.

I am a psychotherapist and supervisor and hold a master’s degree in Mindfulness Based Core Process Psychotherapy. Currently, I am also in the accreditation process for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). One focus of my work is exploring the space where mind and body meet. I believe they are not separate. By listening to the body, we create pathways to our current and past experiences. This interest led me to EMDR and the idea that experiences can be ‘locked’ in our bodies. EMDR a method which is effective in treating individuals who have psychological difficulties arising from traumatic experiences.

Life is challenging and can feel like you’re on a hamster wheel of pressure, ‘have-tos’ and obligations. The more you do, the more the wheel spins, and the faster you descend into overwhelm, stress, anxiety, and burn-out. I can support you to overcome these challenges, as well as relational trauma and abuse, racial trauma, grief, low self-esteem, and life transitions. I offer a compassionate space for us to explore what you have experienced in life, how these experiences shaped you, and how you can make comfortable changes that support you to live a joyful, balanced, inspired, and fulfilling life.
