Is there something preventing you from doing what you want or from behaving in the way that you want? Taking the next step to speak about experiences, thoughts, feelings, and deeply held beliefs is a game changing, reviving experience. Emotional stress can get in the way of your life, job, relationships and your future. Whether its anger, sadness, grief or anxiety, feeling disconnected can also lead to physical stress on your body. It’s often a solitary existence. Please feel free to contact me for an initial no-obligation online chat.

I completed my DClinPsy qualification at King's College London, following a PhD from the University of Cambridge and MSc in Neuropsychology from the University of Bristol. I conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) combined with other psychological models to explore beliefs and actions that may be maintaining emotional difficulties. Do you feel stuck? Wish for more creativity and to use your full potential instead of feeling held back by your fears? I can support you to tap into your own creative flow and work through fears, negative thought patterns and feelings that might be keeping you stuck. We can learn and harvest the messages your patterns are ready to teach you together. Your difficulties do not have to be your way of life and they do not have to define you. You are worth so much more than your worries and I would love to join you in the journey towards resilience, looking after you and discovering who you really are and what you are capable of!

Are you still trying to outrun your fear and prove your worth? If so, I see you. I know you because this was me before I made friends with my demons and put them to work for me. In fact, I moved across the ocean to try and outrun them. But you see, no matter where you are in the world; no matter where you are in your life; no matter where you are in your head; your demons remain right there with you.

Hi, welcome. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your story. Perhaps you are intrigued in deprogramming previous patterns that you feel do not serve you? Creating a new foundation that starts internally and has a positive ripple effect on those close to you and around you. There are times when everyone experiences challenging and distressing feelings which can interfere with everyday life and relationships. That is when it can be helpful to talk things through with a completely neutral person who you know will be supportive and respond non-judgmentally.

I work with mostly high-achieving millennial professionals, managers & entrepreneurs who feel overwhelmed and exhausted with juggling work/business with their personal lives. This overwhelm is currently causing a feeling of ineffectiveness and a lack of accomplishment or progress in their career and/or business. They have noticed increased procrastination and less productivity in their business or work. This is beginning to affect their bottom-line - with missed deadlines, or unfinished tasks list. It’s also affecting their sleep, mood, and social life. They are increasingly approaching professional ‘burnout’ (chronic fatigue, anxiety, forgetfulness, overwhelm, and indecisiveness). They want practical solutions and techniques that are easy to implement within their current schedule without having to change their work or business lives dramatically. They want a work/life balance that allow them to still lead productive and meaningful impactful live. They value their mental health and need to get better at protecting it. They know that this is directly linked to their ability to perform at their very best, to produce better results in their career and business.

Feeling Lost, Overwhelmed, or Simply "Off"? You're Not Alone. We all hit bumps in the road. Maybe anxiety is keeping you awake at night, or depression is dimming your light. Perhaps you're facing a difficult relationship or loss that feels impossible to navigate. Whatever you're going through, I want you to know this: you don't have to carry this burden alone.

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. To see whether we might be a good fit, I offer a free 30 minute introductory call to discuss your situation and needs. I am an integrative psychotherapist (MBACP) practicing in Clapham, London Bridge and Dulwich. I also offer sessions online and over the phone. Much of my approach is about noticing and understanding patterns, and making sense of these. I am also trauma informed.

Female Counsellors

Does it matter what gender my therapist is?

In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.

Should I see a female therapist?

Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?

Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?

It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
