My main aim as a therapist is to provide a safe and non-judgemental environment in which you as a client feel safe to explore and build trust. I offer a welcoming, confidential space for you to talk and explore any problems or challenges in your life that may be causing you to experience psychological and emotional pain in a safe setting at a pace that works for you. It doesn’t matter how problematic your life is or what form, or size the problems or challenges in your life take, if they are causing you to be unhappy then I can help you.

" Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people." C Jung - Life events, experiences and relationships can have an impact on how we feel within ourselves making it difficult to cope day to day. Therapy can help us understand these experiences, helping one gain insight and perspective. Gaining understanding can be powerful and prompt change. I work with my client to identify issues within their life that may contribute to distress or problems.

Together we will work with whatever you bring to therapy. This may be an issue that is clear and well defined. You might want change in your relationship or in your work, or you may want support dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem or shame, for example. But it might also be something much vaguer, it may be a general interest in exploring aspects of your life or way of relating to the world, or it might be a sense of confusion, stuckness, dissatisfaction or unfinished business.

I am passionate about helping clients intercept 'stuck' cycles by finding new ways of adjusting and coping. Many of the clients that I work with find themselves struggling with life demands or what the World Health Organisation (WHO) typically defines as 'burn-out' (ICD-10). Quite often they feel overwhelmed, depleted and unable to find an obvious solution to their problem. They find themselves chronically ruminating about the past or worrying about the future, leading to vicious cycles of depression and anxiety. These clients require a specialised therapist who can offer brief, effective treatment.

Life may feel difficult and pointless, or perhaps, you are experiencing profound loss of a loved one or of a relationship. Maybe you are struggling with depression and anxiety, loss of motivation and sense of meaninglessness. Life, by its very essence, is intertwined with pain, but suffering is a choice we make in how we respond to the pain. Our interpretation and response to these experiences fall under our control, and we possess the power to decide how to navigate through adversity - choosing whether we allow it to define us.

Life often presents us with challenges and each one of us develops their own ways of dealing with adversities. Sometimes, however, we might feel ‘lost’, incongruent with how we would like to be, how we would like to relate with others and engage with life. Our difficulties may present themselves in different forms and we often use words such as depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, panic, phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, relationship difficulties, sexuality concerns, grief and loss to describe our experience.
