I am an experienced and qualified counsellor with a warm, motivational and supportive and yet direct approach to helping people transform their lives. Offering new perspectives, I have helped many people feel more empowered and less controlled by limiting patterns and beliefs.

I am an experienced, welcoming and open-minded counsellor. Exploring in-depth what is troubling us with someone who is really listening, not just to your words but to the person behind them, can in itself be a healing process. It may also bring to light beliefs and ways of living that are holding you back. I draw on a range of integrative talking therapies (including Internal Family Systems). When something more is needed than talking alone, Brainspotting (a somatic therapy that evolved out of EMDR) can offer a gentle but powerful way to access deeper areas of the brain where emotional difficulties arise.

I imagine that you are here because life seems particularly tough at the moment. Perhaps you are anxious about the future, or suffering with difficult memories from the past. Perhaps you have realised that the relationship patterns you have developed are no longer working for you and you would like to find a new way of connecting to your partner or others. Perhaps you need some practical guidance with a sex related problem. Wouldn't it be good if a trusted professional, who is also warm and 'real' could help you find a positive way forward?

I specialise (17 yrs experience) in working with young people and adults particularly neurodiverse clients (Autism, ADHD, self-harm, OCD, stammer etc). Having trained and practised as a Speech & Language Therapist, I now focus on humanistic psychotherapy because it is my passion to support individuals in navigating their unique way of being in the world. As well as face to face and online sessions, I can offer animal therapy (I have a canine-concern registered black lab), assistance dogs are welcome and where needed I offer walking therapy as well as meeting clients in different locations to help with anxiety issues.

People come to counselling for many reasons; they feel stuck, lonely, lack direction or engaging in unhealthy relationships to name but a few. Whatever your reason for seeking counselling it will be driven by a desire/need to change aspects of your life that no longer serve you. Taking the first step to reach out for support can feel scary and overwhelming yet demonstrates a huge amount of bravery. I believe we all want to be heard, seen and truly accepted for all of who we are. Counselling can be a safe place to allow yourself to experience this, to accept you are enough, as you are.

I offer in-person, online and phone counselling in a warm, non-judgemental, and accepting atmosphere, where you can explore what’s going on, and find your way forward. At some stage in our lives we may hit a low point or crisis. Depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, separation, bereavement, illness, self-esteem, relationship, identity, and work-related issues, or other profound life challenges can leave us feeling sad, distraught, helpless, or hopeless. Counselling offers you confidential and safe space to talk. Meet me for a free initial 30min chat before deciding. Note: I don't work with couples or children.
