Or maybe you’ve experienced a trauma, loss or bereavement or have problems in your relationship that are affecting your daily life? Whatever the reason you are reading this, talking through your thoughts, feelings, fears and experiences with a trained professional can help you start to make sense of them.

You thought that becoming a parent would be exciting, but you've also felt overwhelmed, anxious and like you’re struggling to cope. There's been an expectation that you'd be happy and even ‘glowing’ but the reality has often felt very different. It has left you wondering if you’re failing or 'not doing it right' which can make it hard to say you're not OK or ask for help. If this feels like you, please know that you are not alone and that these thoughts and feelings are very common, even if they’re not often talked about.

Talking to someone who really hears and understands you can be the first step of the journey towards positive change. Maybe you're feeling low and don't know why? Maybe you are trying to overcome big life events and everything has changed around you and you need some support? Perhaps you just don't know why you can't sleep, or why your tears surprise you and you want to know more? The good news is that Gestalt counselling can help.

In an ideal world, everyone should have someone, they can talk to. But the world isn't ideal and talking to someone you know may be difficult, or even problematic. So I can help. There’s a Chinese proverb that I like - ‘reading ten thousand scrolls, rather walk ten thousand miles.’ When we search for answers, our first point is the internet or books but what we can’t grasp from written literature, is the life experiences of interactions and 'light bulb' moments. My journeys have covered more than ten thousand miles. I have encountered and experienced many difficulties myself and I want to help you to overcome yours and feel better.

Having experienced therapy myself I am aware of the importance of having a therapist that can work alongside you to support you while you work towards your recovery in your journey of therapy. I provide a safe non judgemental, warm atmosphere to explore what maybe holding you back. I have experience with working with the homeless, I have also worked with other counselling organisations and have worked with a variety of clients helping them live a more full-filling life. It's never to late to take the first step and focus on you.

As a clinical psychotherapist, I have over 10 year’s experience of working with patients and clients with many different struggles and difficulties. Trained as an integrative therapist, I work in a unique way that is based on your own individual needs. I believe that everyone is different and not every modality suits everyone. I know only too well how difficult life can be, yet uniquely different, we all suffer pain and loss in many similar ways. I feel truly humbled to work in this field and would be honoured to support you. You are not alone.

Welcome to my page! My journey to Spiritual Psychotherapy and Soul Psychology started 30+ years ago during the extensive study of Yoga, Meditation, and Eastern Philosophy. This led me to become a yoga and meditation teacher to assist others to find their way back 'home' to wholeness of body, mind, and spirit. Eventually I was led to a study of western psychological approaches. I am confident that my experience in the fields of spirituality and psychology has given me a unique opportunity to be able to access broader layers of human psyche to facilitate deeper levels of healing, soul integration, self-awareness, and self-empowerment.

Hello, I am Dr Rima Lamba. I'm a feminist counselling psychologist with an interest in the unique experiences of women from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I work closely with women who have struggled with self esteem & identity, relationship issues, difficulties in motherhood, life transitions, attachment and early trauma, and transgenerational trauma. I am particularly interested in the structural power differences that impact people, so I work closely on issues to do with patriarchy, race, culture and more. I also work with a team of therapists who can support clients, including adult families.
