People often say they wonder if their issues are ‘enough’ to seek therapy. I say that ‘If it bothers you then that is ‘enough’ to seek therapy.’ The relationship between you and your therapist is unique, one you won't experience anywhere else, and one where you are at the heart. I am separate from your social circles & family, and I won’t judge, give my opinion or give advice. Together we can create a space that is entirely focused on you and what you need. I am committed to building a relationship with you that will allow you to be honest, open, honest and feel safe enough to explore yourself, your world and your problems.

Hello my names Vivienne I am passionate in helping individuals to feel heard and understood. I help my clients to be able to open up and feel safe to explore thoughts and feelings that have been painful to visit I help clients to be able to express themselves in ways they may not be able to outside of the counselling environment, my clients leave feeling empowered to come back and unpack the things that have been holding them back from making decisions that benefit them and not to please others . Ultimately I want my clients to feel empowered and comfortable to be themselves in a society that demands conformity.

With 20 years experience as a Counsellor & 10 years as an Art Psychotherapist within various NHS, Education and Community-based services, I've since specialised in EMDR therapy and am now an Accredited Practitioner with the EMDR Association UK & Ireland. Although EMDR is widely recognised as a trauma-focused therapy, it can effectively treat a broad range of issues, often in a relatively short-term time-frame. EMDR helps process intense emotions, self-limiting beliefs & behavioural patterns in the present which seem stuck on repeat, as they often track back to distressing or overwhelming relational-issues or life events in the past.

Hi my name is Dawn. I have been a Counselling Professional since 2005. I have a lived experience of depression and life and how we build building blocks, one upon the other, carrying all these blocks within us and how we need to release these blocks. I have a depth of experience both professionally and personally especially with mental health issues with children and adults. I live in reality and know the depths of pain that we can hold inside and the depths of pain this has on those around us. I also know the beauty that acceptance of this pain leads to and the creativity, the freeing and the emergence of you really are.

We were all born with the potential for growth and a capacity to embrace change. I value individual differences, honesty, integrity, finding your own path, standing out from the crowd, connection and relationship. I deeply believe power can be empowered to find your own answers. We build a relationship together where you feel heard and safe.

If you've got problems, I can help.. As a therapist I am happiest when I am genuinely able to make a difference to someone and help them feel better. I have had a great deal of experience of working with many different people, each one of them with their own unique story, and their own way of seeing the world, each one of them also with the problems that sometimes arise for all of us as human beings trying to live the best we can. Maybe you feel anxious and don't know why? Perhaps you've had things happen that are still affecting you?

Great, you have already taken the first steps for you. I am not the expert on you, you are. I am here to support and explore with you what you maybe finding difficult or just not feeling Ok. This may be in your relationships, in your physical body or you are finding both these things are overwhelming sometimes. Together we can wonder, ponder and educate ourselves and understand, why? Then we can make a strategy and build on your already available resilience (you are here remember), and improve this together. This maybe just a few sessions, sometimes just one or a little longer if you need this.

Life can be hard and sometimes certain moments, times, and actions can add to this. When this happens, it can be hard to talk about it and especially to the people close to us. Sometimes we just need to talk to someone in impartial, who will not judge and just listen. I am an Integrative/Person Centered based counsellor who has experience of working with people from the age of 12 to 70 and I am here to listen to you with no judgement. I have experience of working with people who have different mental health issues and disorders.

I understand how difficult even contemplating seeking a counsellor or psychotherapist can be, to seek someone you trust, who will not judge you, and at the same time help you feel heard and understood. It is my job to help you feel safe and secure in therapy and I do this by being open about how I work, to hold the space for you so that you can bring your difficulties to counselling, and listening to what you want to achieve. I am here to listen with empathy, It is important that you receive the therapy that is right for you; everyone is an individual with their own individual needs.

If your everyday life and general wellbeing are being affected by how you’re feeling, it is a good time to get some help. I am Lead Counsellor at Pilgrims Hospices and I work as a school counsellor. In my private practice I offer individual counselling for young people and adults. Counselling can offer the space and time needed to work through experiences and issues, it is an opportunity to be heard and to feel understood. It can help in building better self-awareness, relationships and overall quality of life. Choosing a counsellor that feels like the right person is really important.

I work using the pluralistic approach, this is to say that I treat each client as an individual, who will need an individual approach to therapy. We (the client and I) will work together and regularly assess the work in a way that recognises that different processes and approaches are needed to ensure the client gets the best possible tailored therapy. This improvement is further evidenced by completion of an evaluation tool (CORE) at the beginning and end of therapy. The client will have a graph depicting the scores and the difference the work has made.

Hi am Felicity, a Level 4 Dip counsellor, and registered member of the BACP. I work with adults experiencing a variety of struggles including anger, sadness, anxiety or hopelessness which are impacting negatively upon their relationships, work and life in general. Perhaps it has become impossible to meet your own needs due to placing the needs of others above your own, and a reluctance to say 'no' is leaving you burnt out. Life in the current climate has seen an increase in people struggling with their mental health and in need of some support, yet not knowing where to turn for understanding and validation can be lonely.
