I passionately believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to create personal growth and positive change in people’s lives.
Hello, I’m Tonia, a relational psychotherapist trained in Transactional Analysis(TA). The decision to go to therapy is never an easy one. Approaching someone you don’t know to share intimate details about painful subjects can feel daunting. However, please be reassured, I am an experienced, warm, and empathic practitioner who is open minded and nonjudgmental. I offer a safe and totally confidential space for us to work closely together to help you understand yourself and your relationships better, and to explore what may be going on behind the difficult emotions, thoughts and behaviours troubling you.

We can all feel a bit overwhelmed at times: it might be the breakdown of a relationship, loss of a friendship, daily struggles or those horrible feelings of anxiety that just won’t go away. We might be feeling unhappy but we’re not sure why, we might feel life isn’t going the way we want it to whilst everyone else seems to be doing ok. Talking openly and feeling truly heard can be life changing: we can say all those things that keep going round in our heads, the issues that keep coming back time and again, and work towards understanding what’s going on, make changes and find some peace. Isn't that what we all want and deserve?

I've been able to help people with many different issues, from bereavement or a relationship breakdown to past traumas or childhood experiences.
Welcome. My name is Antonella and I'm an experienced and dedicated counsellor working with both adults and young people. I support people who are going through all kinds of struggles and challenges. Clients I have worked with have told me that for the first time they were able to talk and express their feelings and thoughts about themselves and life as they felt safe and comfortable. I offer a safe and confidential space where you are free to explore yourself and your concerns, and discover your inner resources at your own pace. I will genuinely listen, be with you and accept you for who you are without judgement.

Do you feel stuck, anxious or overwhelmed? Perhaps worry, lack of confidence or low self esteem is having a negative effect on your life, causing you to feel isolated and alone. Talking to loved one about what we are experiencing can feel difficult, we worry that we are putting to much on them or we don't want them to worry about us. Talking to a counsellor can be really helpful at these times and can show a way forward. However I understand that a good counselling relationship is vital to support you in moving toward your goals.

I have a special interest in the transitions and dilemmas that can occur at any point during a woman’s life. These might include marrying; pregnancy; changes in role; relationship difficulties; and the challenges presented at menopause and during the aging process. It is common to experience uncertainty, confusion, fear, and pressure at times of change or loss. Depression and anxiety may emerge as well as other, less common mental health issues. Times of change or loss can be difficult for everyone. I work with all genders, without discrimination. It is not necessary to have a mental health diagnosis to benefit from our sessions.

I specialise in Relationship therapy, life transitions and a broad spectrum of issues that can occur in our day to day lives.
It's natural to feel a little bit hesitant or nervous when looking for someone to talk to. It's a big step. If you're reading this, you've already made that step into looking into your options. That's something in itself. When, or if, you feel that you are ready to contact someone. Know that I hold a safe space and a listening ear. My aim? To give you space to put out the fires and create more space for the process of change to begin.

As a fully qualified counsellor, psychosexual and relationship therapist and supervisor I offer a fully confidential, non-judgemental and integrative approach to general sex therapy for couples and individuals with evidence-based and humanistic models, which support working through life challenges whilst gaining awareness, tools and confidence of self.
Sometimes we may feel that everything we experience in life is difficult, challenging or simply doesn't make sense anymore. The amount of pressure we need to handle every day combined with all these repressed and unprocessed memories of things we never dealt with can easily lead to many psycho-physical issues. We all possess physical, mental/emotional and sexual healths. When our physical health needs attention, we go to see a doctor. Sadly, we often disregard the latter. We think we can handle it all, where in fact we are getting weaker, less resilient to adversities and prone to negative feelings & reactions.

I have a specific interest in anxiety and low self-esteem, and I have experience of working with people with a variety of mental health challenges including family / relationship issues, bereavement, trauma, stress, depression, abuse, and relationship break-ups.
Hi, I’m Nic. I’m calm, empathic and non-judgemental, and I provide a friendly, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in the safety of the counselling relationship. We’ll gently explore what brings you to counselling; this can be any issues, past or present, however big or small they may feel. I’m here to listen, without judgement, and together we’ll work through these issues to help you to understand and accept yourself, and find a way to move forwards. You may not be sure what you want from counselling, and this is something we can work through together.

I have been in parental role early on in life and have gone through various relationship dynamics in both individualist as well as collectivist cultures.
Life can be a rough ride. Keeping the balance and moving forward can be a challenge. It can involve stress, anxiety, depression and much more. But I believe through psychological therapies we can learn and, in some cases even master, the art of managing life successfully. To achieve this, I practise an integrative approach that draws strength from various therapies in the field. I am a qualified Psychotherapist at a Doctoral level and I feel confident to deal with complexity . My natural inclination is to help people in need. My recent training and qualifications do enhance my inclination especially to those psychologically unwell.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
