Making the first move to see a counsellor can feel like a big step, especially if this is the first time you've done it. Perhaps you feel like you’re worrying more than usual at the moment? Or maybe there is a specific issue on your mind that you can't seem to get past. Perhaps you've had enough of feeling anxious, or you're feeling low and 'stuck'. When we have the opportunity to share how we feel in a safe, confidential environment it can help us to develop a toolkit of coping strategies to deal with times when things get tough.

I am a fully insured and registered MBACP Integrative Therapist, Couples Counsellor, Supervisor and a member of the Westcountry Association of Counsellors. I have been in professional practice for 10 years, and work with 18+ individuals, couples and groups using a variety of different counselling models and methods. Although I would broadly describe myself as a 'Person-Centred Therapist', my methods are entirely client-led and not dictated by any personal preference in terms of therapeutic model.

I have worked in the NHS for over 20 years and I realise that therapy can be a new and unusual approach for people. I often work with folk who are finding things hard, and need a neutral form of support. I can offer direct support, teaching and practice in cognitive and behavioural techniques, or relaxation and mindfulness ideas to help. The goals that a person wants to work towards might be crystal clear to them, or they might refine these as we work together.

What do you need to get your life on track, to feel fulfilled, relevant, in control and in the drivers seat? Sometimes we just need a bit of support to get there, an outside eye, a gentle challenge. We always need, and deserve to be treated with sensitivity, respect and dignity. Life is full of challenges, but you don't need to face them alone. Letting someone in can be scary, but you really do deserve to be supported, and you have every right to live a fulfilling, rich and creative life.

I believe that life is a gift; yet, at times, it can feel quite the opposite. Sometimes, we can feel overwhelmed by our difficulties. Often, a trained, non-judgmental and objective ear can help order one's thoughts, challenge ingrained patterns of behaviour, and manage emotions.

Hi, my name is Natasha I am an Intuitive Counsellor. I work in guiding and helping you understand your own intuition. When we become aware of our thoughts and behaviors, we start to understand how the mind works. Breathing and grounding into the present moment helps us to connect within, to understand the difference between the voice in our mind and our heart. This allows us to let go of the conditioned mind and find our true authentic self.

I believe that our capacity to cope with issues that arise in adult life, whether this is how we experience the world, relate to others, cope with difficult situations or understand and manage what can often be overwhelming emotions, is ultimately bound up with our early experiences. Whether we wish to or not we carry our history with us and sometimes this does not provide the strong foundation needed to engage and embrace life or weather its storms. I work with clients to recognise the origins of their difficulties so that together we might arrive at a place where life is understandable, and they feel both validated and valued.

Hello.... I am an experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist (MBACP) based in Newton Abbot, Devon. Counselling is not only helpful for traumatic life events, it can also help when you are at a crossroads, feeling stuck or having a huge sense that life is not what it could be. I like to encourage my clients to explore their issues and work towards a better understanding of themselves and the world around them. Together we will look at finding your inner strengths so that you can build in them developing a greater self awareness. However, FINDING THE RIGHT PERON IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THERAPY.

I am a relaxed and friendly BACP Accredited Counsellor, working from my private practice in Paignton, Devon. I understand the importance of a comfortable, safe space for clients to share and I can draw on my extensive integrative training to tailor the sessions to meet your needs. Whilst the present moment is key to change, I understand how the past can impact the present, as can concerns about the future. It can be hard to learn, but it is often harder to unlearn.

The most important thing first: No matter what place you’re in - there is hope for change and for things to get better. You may be reading this feeling vulnerable, disempowered, dejected, fearing disappointment or simply too overwhelmed to know how you feel. I'll meet you wherever you are and with whatever you bring and we can walk through your confusion and distress together. I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of people with an equally diverse range of individual challenges. Spending time exploring your challenges can bring clarity, empower you to break with old patterns and help you find a positive way forward.
