Very often life involves losses, challenges and the inevitable changes that come alongside. Your psychological well being can be tried and tested at such times: Hence an understanding, warm and supportive non judgmental personable professional can make all the difference. Yes life will not be the same again, but it can be good again!

Not everybody has been fortunate enough to have been heard. To talk and feel they are being listened to. I would like to be able to give you this opportunity. In a safe, reliable and comfortable setting I will offer you a non-judgemental space in which to explore difficult feelings and share your thoughts. Life is often fast paced and I would like to offer you the opportunity to slow down a little.

We start therapy for many different reasons, but healing is always the aim.

With so many counselling profiles to go through it can feel difficult to know which counsellor will be able to help you with your struggles. Will a male counsellor best serve me? Would there be benefits to seeing a female counsellor? What does a Psychodynamic Counsellor offer over a CBT Counsellor? If you are seeking counselling and struggling with these questions, please email me and I will be happy to offer a free 15-minute Zoom session to share some of my experience with you and help you find the right counsellor, whether that be myself or another professional.

Thank you for viewing my profile. Whether you have had counselling before or this is your first enquiry, finding the right counsellor can be a further challenge in addition to how you may already be feeling. You may be sad, anxious, depressed, isolated or overwhelmed with life. You may be grieving after the loss of a loved one. There may be things you want to unravel from your past that are hindering you in the present. Or you may simply need a space to just be, to talk through your worries and be listened to. Whatever your reasons, you have taken an important and courageous step towards your self care and growth.

I've worked in NHS GP surgeries, charities and private counselling services for a number of years, supporting adults and young adults too. The type of concerns people come to me about relates to: body image and self-worth, sexual abuse and trauma, relationship difficulties, work related stress, loss and loneliness, low mood, anxiety and health related concerns. Whether you have a specific issue or a general sense that life is a struggle, therapy can help. Testimonials: "It's been positive to talk to Lauren who has allowed me to look at the way I think and help me change for the better", "I didn't feel judged, just very supported."
