Life sometimes throws up some unexpected hurdles. We can be knocked out of our stride when we least expect it. Have you received some bad news recently or are you struggling with your health or that of somebody close to you? Do you need to talk it through and explore how you are feeling? Are you having problems with your employer and or your work situation, which can be a real problem especially in these difficult times? Are you struggling with anxiety and struggling to function? Have you suffered the loss of a loved one and don't feel able to talk about this with other friends and family who are going through the same loss?

If you are grappling with the challenges of life, perhaps feeling its too much to bear, or overwhelming, then maybe I can help by journeying along side you as you explore the hard times you are encountering. I aim to provide a professional, safe, confidential and non judgmental space in which you will be able to explore recent and long standing personal issues, to perhaps gain a greater understanding of your unhappiness and distress, helping you find a better way forwards.

You may have many friends and relations, but find it difficult to talk to them about your most private worries or concerns. If you are looking for someone whose sole relationship with you is to discuss issues causing you stress, or anxiety, or depression then counselling may help. I am a person-centred counsellor, which means I place an emphasis on helping you to build your resilience and confidence when issues arise in your to day to day life. As a counsellor I do not judge your thoughts, feelings or actions, but rather help you to understand these for yourself.

Hi, my name is Jo and I am a qualified and experienced Person-Centred Therapist and I believe therapy can provide an opportunity to heal, find peace and flourish, whether you wish to uncover new ways to guide life's challenges, explore patterns that no longer support you, or consider how you might find personal healing within the chaos of life.

I work with depression, anxiety and with people who have experienced control, manipulation and abuse in their lives. Feeling low, stressed and anxious can impact hugely how we manage our day to day tasks. Often leads to isolation from friends and family, because we feel that people don't understand what we are going through. In fact, we often don't understand what we are feeling and why we feel so low or anxious. Being with someone controlling feels like 'walking on eggshells' -not knowing what to expect next. You doubt and question yourself in many ways.

Hi, my name is Emma and I am a qualified Person-centred counsellor (MBACP). Being Person-centred means that the sessions I offer are client-led, valuing the unique experience of each individual. We can all face times in our lives where we feel like we need extra support or just a listening ear. I believe that, as a counsellor, I can provide both of these things as well as a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore and make sense of your thoughts and feelings. My aim is that during our sessions together my clients will feel empowered and valued and eventually able to find their own solutions.

I offer one to one counselling sessions face to face or over the phone. I offer a safe place for you to talk, I will listen and remain non judgmental throughout your counselling journey. This allows you to learn about yourself & notice patterns in your behaviour. We are able to break the struggles & problems down, I will reflect things back to you and teach coping techniques to assist with the problems you are facing.

We all struggle to make sense of experiences at times, for example, when our life is in transition as we are leaving home or taking on new caring responsibilities. As a counsellor I can offer the opportunity to talk in confidence. I have worked in mental health for over 20 years and have trained as a social worker as well as a counsellor. Social networks and our sense of connection, can contribute to our emotional resilience and ability to face life's challenges. I can help you find a broader perspective and your own way forward.

I’m Nicola, I work with individuals and couples trying to make sense of change in their lives. Change may be a natural part of human life, but it can be hard to understand the loss of a close relative, friend or lover or other difficult sudden events and to figure out what happens now. The emotional effects of a change can knock you off balance influencing the way you think and feel about yourself now and in the future. I have a real interest in the emotional impact of life changes and how they influence our emotions. One-to-one therapy gives you the time and place to help make sense of difficult events in your life.

Hi, I'm Nicola, a qualified Person-Centred counsellor. Do you experience times when things just get too much and although you may have a good network of family, friends or colleagues you just need a safe space where you can go to talk, not be judged and know that whatever is spoken about is confidential. Whatever is troubling you may stem from your childhood, a relationship, a traumatic event or something else but whatever it is, this maybe preventing you from living your life to the full. The first step can be daunting, but together we can explore your thoughts, your feelings which will enable you to gain a greater self worth.

Being a later in life diagnosed Autistic/combined ADHD counsellor, I feel I can offer genuine empathy & understanding, if you're overwhelmed, feel isolated or struggling with life - I've been there. Are you feeling misunderstood? Lost or stuck? Like you don't fit in & nobody really "gets you"? In burnout? Wondering whether you may be Autistic/ADHD? Or support someone who is? Feeling overwhelmed with the thoughts of the diagnosis process, or recently diagnosed & left thinking "now what?" I've felt them all too, and know first-hand how difficult & exhausting life can be, living as both an undiagnosed and diagnosed Neurodiverse adult.

Work with me to quickly and efficiently clear whatever is holding you back. Or maybe you just need someone you feel safe to talk with. How would you feel if you didn’t have those difficult feelings or traumatic memories? Those feelings that can seem impossible or overwhelming really can feel different. Or perhaps you have a current situation to deal with and do not want to dive into the past - I will not make you start from the "beginning". We can work through your experiences in a gentle way, and it could even be fun! Well done on getting this far and considering some support at this time - I would be pleased to work with you.

I work with clients using techniques from different therapy methods from person centred, behavioural to CBT and solution focused and IFS. My focus is on the person in front of me and where they are at that moment. Any client arrives with an idea of what they want to look at, but the journey that follows is unique and generally directed by the client's needs. The difference can be evident so quickly once we move together towards a clearer understanding of how to move forward from the place the client began - its fulfilling and rewarding for all involved

I work in a person-centred manner which means that I value building a positive relationship with clients; working to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment. This means that I want you to feel able to talk and express yourself about anything that may be troubling you. We talk about whatever you chose, and you can do so without fear of judgement. This enables you to become more comfortable with things as you discuss your thoughts freely, giving you an opportunity to consider things from different perspectives and over time building your confidence to explore different options and possibilities that are open to you.

It's not easy being a parent and it's not easy knowing that your child is going through a tough time. You might have noticed that their behaviour has become really difficult to handle and it is putting a strain on family life. Teachers might have noticed this in the classroom too. Sometimes, you might wonder if this is something you are going to have get used to. It doesn't have to be this way. I can help your child and your family have a well-deserved meaningful life, filled with happier memories.
