Trauma-focused therapy helps to address the underlying traumatic memories and triggers that contribute to anxiety. CBT, on the other hand, equips individuals with practical techniques to identify and challenge negative thought patterns. However, a combination of trauma-focused therapy and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) can offer effective strategies for managing anxiety and reclaiming a sense of calm. I provide a safe and supportive environment for processing and healing trauma, and all anxiety-based issues. I offer therapy sessions over the phone and video link.

Life isn't a straight forward, easy process, it has its roller coaster of ups, downs and roundabouts, how do we maintain our focus on our everyday lives, we attempt to get on with it, but sometimes it can feel like an uphill struggle. We become overloaded, overwhelmed, stressed and irritable and sometimes our friends, family and colleagues notice our behaviour before we do. When we do realise that we need support, help, courage, whatever you chose to call it then we are half way there, the rest is looking for someone to share our difficulties and pressures with. I have over 15 years experience working for different settings.

I mostly work with clients who have been adversely affected by abuse, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I have extended this to work with couples and relationships. I work by tuning into each client’s individual circumstances and listen to how their life experiences have impacted them. I can offer some solutions, such as coping mechanisms for managing trauma responses such as anxiety and depression. I also offer help in developing practical skills in managing narcissistic behaviour, such as carefully considered boundary setting, recognising that boundaries often come with negative consequences.

Do social situations make you anxious? Do you feel lonely even when you're with a crowd? Do you worry about how you are perceived by others? Do you experience meltdowns or panic attacks? As an autistic woman, I understand what it is to feel like a square peg trying to fit in a round hole. Depression and anxiety can build to intolerable depths. But it doesn't have to stay that way. I can help guide you through the fog.

I am an experienced Accredited BACP Therapist. Since qualifying in 2014 I’ve led a school counselling service for 9 years alongside a small private practice working with adults and young people. I’ve worked therapeutically with the arts since 2010. I work with anyone 16+ who is looking to make a shift and to connect more deeply to yourself, your purpose, the people and the planet surrounding you. Life can be desperately hard. It can throw curve balls and cliff edges. We may feel like we can’t get any lower. Often after these lows huge life-changes can occur. With courage and honesty this is the point where growth and healing come

The clients I work with are encouraged to be as open and transparent as possible while we work together to gain a deeper understanding of them on how to make long-lasting therapeutic change. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for them to share their most challenging issues, whilst also providing alternative perspective and grounding. Although I work within a "healing" capacity, I also enjoy working with clients who would like to work towards becoming the best version of themselves through personal development. No matter what the reason my clients begin therapy, I encourage building self awareness as a key factor.

People come to therapy for many different and important reasons. For some it is to discuss difficult and emotional experiences, while for others its to have a space in their week to reflect and make time to check-in with themselves. I ask all my clients to come with an open-mind as therapy can take you on a journey of self-discovery. I have worked with many clients with varying degrees of personal difficulties; severe and mild distress including depression, anxiety, suicide, low-self-esteem, earlier life trauma, PTSD, relational difficulties and many more.
