Sometimes life is hard - and we can easily get trapped in trying to feel in control while at the same time losing contact with what's important. Therapy can provide an opportunity to carefully think things through when your attempts to get by are tiring you out and no longer working. Therapy is about teamwork: we both listen out for patterns or themes; try to understand where problems might have come from; and get a sense of your personal and social sources of stress and strength. We can also consider what meaningful change might look like, and I can support you to plan and work towards this in a safe and manageable way.

Individuals from all walks of life seek help with many different problems, for example with depression and anxiety, panic states, phobias, obsessional behaviour or angry outbursts. People who turn to psychotherapy may also feel worried in more general ways such as feeling aimless or dissatisfied in their work life, or feeling unable to make satisfactory personal or sexual relationships. With empathy and careful listening my aim is always to help you feel better about yourself and your life, in work or in love.

I'm Zoë (she/her) and I am a qualified relational and existential counsellor & psychotherapist. Navigating life in 2024 is hard. Dealing with the ongoing unrest in the world alongside our own personal battles can often feel like too much to carry. We can find ourselves going against what we feel is right, pressured by societal expectations and living in a way that feels inauthentic. While therapy alone cannot change the world, it can be a place to share the load, to untangle yourself and make sense of who you are and where you’re going.

Psychotherapy is a rare invitation to truth - a place to explore your self and your story, make sense of why you feel the way you do and ask how you might meet life's challenges in a more authentic, meaningful and fulfilling way. My approach is integrative, creative and embodied. It considers who you are and what happened to you, as well as what your heart desires. As a relational therapist, I also put your experience with me in therapy at the heart of our work together.

This world is a fast-moving, pressured and sometimes, bewildering place. We are expected to navigate it while carrying the heavy weight of the opinions and expectations of others. No wonder that we can become overwhelmed, worried and sad. I can’t (sadly) change the world or your experiences in it, but together, we might be able to find a way for you to move forward, feeling more in control, more confident and hopefully, happier.

It doesn't matter when you bloom, it matters that you do. I see psychotherapy as a kind and safe space for you to be seen and heard. We all have a core goodness and ability to flourish in our lives. Sometimes we need a little help to find our way.

Hello, I'm Leanne, a senior Clinical Psychologist and trauma specialist offering psychotherapy with heart. I create a warm, safe and nurturing environment for clients to heal from difficult experiences and trauma from the past in order to have greater well-being in the future. I believe that therapy and trauma processing can be a poignant and even beautiful experience when we learn to hold all parts of ourselves with warmth, compassion and acceptance. In the words of John O'Donohue 'May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.'

I have been a counsellor for nearly ten years and within that time I have an extensive knowledge of most difficulties. I initially trained on placement for 2 years alongside my diploma within the Swan Project they specialise in Addiction and Trauma. I have successfully worked with many clients but not limited to Addiction, Trauma, ADHD, Autism, LGBTQIA, Childhood sex abuse, Childhood neglect, Domestic violence, Rape, PTSD and Eating disorders. I particularly enjoy working with neurodiversity including teenagers as I have my own personal journey and I feel this helps add an extra layer of empathy and understanding.
