I am currently available for private work, having worked for thirty years in the NHS. I can help to resolve or manage many different mental health problems. However, with an existential training, I would most often view these as life-difficulties and work to understand how your struggles make sense within your unique life.

Welcome to my page. I am an experienced person-centred counsellor offering long term or short term counselling to adults and young people from 10yrs upwards. Registered with the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) abiding by their ethical framework. My commitment to clients is offering a confidential, non-judgmental therapeutic space exploring any difficulties or anxieties that are present - I work with a range of clients and have experience in many settings such as bereavement/pre-bereavement, schools etc.

Giving opportunity for you to reflect on any difficulties you are experiencing in a confidential space. I will listen with sensitivity, non-judgement and empathy to understand the way you view the world around you. So together we can explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to give you a deeper awareness and understanding of your self and the challenges you are facing. This can give you clarity and confidence to feel empowered and make meaningful decisions and change where you feel necessary.

I qualified as a psychotherapist from the University of Sussex nearly 20 years ago, having gained a BSc (Honours) degree in Psychology in the late 1990s. My previous career was as a translator/interpreter in Higher Education. My work is underpinned by the psychodynamic (Freudian) approach which helps clients to understand how past relationships may be influencing their present issues such anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, relationships, depression and many other personal difficulties.

I am a highly experienced counsellor and counselling supervisor. I offer 1-1 counselling and sessions for couples where you can explore whatever difficulties you are experiencing, in a safe, non-judgemental setting. I work in a non-directive way so the pace and agenda for the sessions are set by you. I feel that it is important for clients to find a counsellor that is right for them I, therefore, offer a free 30-minute initial session where we can decide if it feels right to work together.

It's difficult watching a child or young person experience difficulties. I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in the NHS, research and private practice with people of all ages. I have treated people with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, bipolar disorder, psychosis and long-term physical health conditions amongst other difficulties.

I am an accredited, fully insured therapeutic counsellor having studied Transactional Analysis psychotherapy, based in East Sussex; working with adults on a one-to-one basis, either in-person or on-line. I have a corporate background which compliments my work and provides context to some of the challenges my clients face. Hi, I am an experienced, qualified counsellor with many years experience of working with clients and families living with a diagnosis/ disability, Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Issues. Whatever the issues and problems we have to face, one question seems to come up whether we are aware of it or not, which is how much if any control do we have over the way we feel, especially when we feel very powerful or overwhelming emotions. Usually the bad things happen (or are said) when we are out of control and completely in the grip of our feelings of anger, jealousy, fear, lust, greed etc. However trying to remove or erase these feelings, an obvious and often tried solution doesn’t seem to work that well, usually they squirt out and can be even more damaging by being denied and buried.

I am a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and have a doctorate in Psychotherapeutic and Counselling Psychology from the University of Surrey. Prior to this qualification I was awarded a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) degree in Psychology with Clinical Psychology from the University of Kent. I have a wide range of experience working within a number of Community Mental Health Teams and Psychological Services Departments for the Kent and Medway NHS Foundation Trust. These roles involved working with a broad spectrum of psychological distress ranging from mild to severe and enduring.
