It can be daunting trying to find the right therapist, it takes a little courage but it can be very rewarding. I offer face to face or online therapy with both young and older adults from two safe and private locations in Bewdley and Worcester areas. Life can be very difficult and hard to manage at times, sometimes we find ourselves stuck not knowing where to turn. I help clients feel less anxious, increase their confidence, improve relationships and find emotional balance with increased assertiveness. I help with stress relief, the ability to set boundaries, find resolution to past trauma and help dealing with grief and loss.

It is impossible for any of us to escape the ever increasing challenges in our lives and when things get on top of us, whatever the cause it can help to talk to someone not directly involved in your day to day life. Counselling is somewhere for you to be heard and offers a confidential and private space where you can think about and discuss your thoughts, emotions, events and relationships allowing you to work through these and make sense of your choices. Talking with a professional gives you the opportunity to explore challenging issues and obtain coping strategies for the future.

I appreciate how difficult it is when you just don't feel ok, sometimes you know what is causing the problem other times you don't. At times in our lives we encounter emotions that become overwhelming causing anxiety, sadness or anger wether its work, health, marriage, children, parents, or bereavement - you don’t have to suffer this alone. Wether you are male, female young or mature there are issues that arise that are not easy to cope with but this is when I can help you most by unravelling the confusion. I understand its really difficult to seek help but its ok to not be ok, and there is always someone to turn too.

Are you a concerned parent of a child or teen grappling with their emotional, behavioural, or mental well-being? Do you recognise any of these challenges in your child? Persistent worry and preoccupation, a noticeable shift from their usual joyful self, a reluctance to engage in activities they once enjoyed, frequent excuses overshadowing enthusiasm, puzzling changes in their behaviour, heightened sensitivity and emotional reactions. If you're struggling to find effective ways to help, if your well-intentioned efforts, such as talking to them, providing reassurance or encouragement, seem to lead to dead ends, I'm here to assist.

The people I work with could be struggling with issues within their relationships with others such as sexual addiction, sexual betrayal trauma and psychosexual problems. Other people may want to develop their relationship with themselves such as improving their self esteem, personal compassion or self respect and dignity. My approach enables people to explore, understand and change their relational and personal issues. I can also offer more ‘general’ Couple’s Counselling and Psychosexual Therapy. I work with both individuals and couples.

I absolutely believe that one of the bravest things you can do, is to better understand you and your own story. Exploring and better understanding your feelings, thoughts and emotions and how they fit into you and your story will help you live your life on your terms. You completely deserve to live the life you want to live. I’m Ben and I am just a regular person who will treat you with care, compassion, and without judgement regardless of whatever it might be that is going on in your life. I promise you that I will meet you at a human level, interacting with you as a real person and not an expert.

Life takes us all by surprise at times and sometimes we can bounce back, but sometimes we need a bit of a helping hand; being able to identify those times and reach out is a sign of strength and the first step to taking control. If you are reading this then you have already taken the first step and I commend you for that.

Are you feeling stressed, lost, confused or anxious? These feelings may be a result of a traumatic event, pressures from work, family difficulties, addictions, obsessions or trauma. With busy lives, responsibilities and often with others depending on us, we often dismiss our feelings or fail to understand why we feel, the way we do. I offer a safe place where we can focus on you and we will work together using a therapeutic model that meets your needs. I can offer flexible appointments that fits in with your schedule and if you work shifts we can offer flexible sessions.

I believe that everyone has the ability to find answers within themselves. My practice is characterised by creativity, utilising techniques such as sand tray work, art, fairy tales, and metaphors. Importantly, you don’t need to be an artist to engage in this creative process. I will offer a warm friendly space, a comfy sofa and a cuppa for you to relax, so if talking is your thing, then we can do that too. There is no pressure to be creative in our sessions, its just another way of expressing and exploring our feelings. I specialise in working with children and young people as well as adults.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, fearing the worst or constantly overthinking, seeking counselling could help you. You may be experiencing depression, sleep troubles, relationships problems or lacking energy to face the day ahead. Even though you have people in your life, you may feel that you have nobody to confide in, leaving you feeling alone. If this sounds familiar to you then reaching out for counselling and speaking to someone impartial could be a helpful step.

Sometimes, things happen that can be too hard to manage by yourself. Are you feeling stressed, anxious, scared or alone? Are your relationships going wrong? Has something bad happened to you? Do you need to make a decision but you're not sure where to turn? Has someone you know died and it's affecting you more than you think it should? Would it help to talk to someone who's outside of the situation?

I believe that, to get past your difficult feelings, you need to work through them. Are you struggling with trauma, low self-esteem, anger, anxiety, depression, relationship problems or family issues? At the core of my counselling practice is the belief that, although it may not feel like it right now, you are the expert on you. We’ll work together to unpack your emotions, taking a good look at what is going on for you to really understand your specific and unique situation.
