When we have a problem we often want to talk to someone who is not going to judge us. Talking to friends or family you may be afraid of what they might think or be worried about upsetting them. This can make it hard to be completely open about what is happening and block our ability to fully understand. Seeing a psychotherapist is an opportunity to build a safe trusting relationship where they can offer a more impartial point of view. It is my be that it is the quality of this relationship between the counsellor and client that helps us to marshal our own resources to find a resolution or make changes.

Firstly I want you to know that I love my job! I consider it a privilege to work with people, who are open minded enough to recognise that together, we can find tools to help improve their lives and get to the root of troubling issues, I have 15 years experience in a listening and counselling role.

I have a genuine passion for helping my clients overcome emotional difficulties, and to achieve personal growth and fulfilment. Our counselling sessions will provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment to help guide you on this journey. My approach is based on the importance of creating a supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel respected, safe and able to explore their emotions. A holistic approach, exploring the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviours, allowing a deeper understanding of self, and the ability to navigate life's challenges with new-found resilience.

I am an integrative therapeutic counsellor. I do what I do because I love helping clients step away from anxiety, low mood, overwhelm and low self-esteem, and instead step into their power, discovering their potential with kindness and compassion. I work face to face, online and in the outdoors in the countryside surrounding Bath - so if you're a wild soul who loves being outside, I may be the counsellor for you!

Psychotherapy deals with current problems. It is an opportunity to explore ourselves, to understand why we have become the people that we are. In relationship with a therapist we are able to look at the way we relate to others, explore our motivations and behaviours and so understand ourselves and our relationships. It is an opportunity for you to be really listened to. You may come because of a particular issue or you may not be sure exactly what the problem is but find yourself repeating painful or limiting patterns in life. It may only be through talking to someone that you gain an understanding of what you want to work on.

I am a compassionate trauma-informed integrative practitioner with my own deeply lived experience and personal journey. I live and work in central Bath. Alongside many trainings over the years, I am committed to my therapeutic practice and my own path of personal development, healing and spiritual enquiry. My personal experience in life has been extensive and rich. I’ve walked a diverse path so far through life and this has enabled me to bring understanding to working with many people. Development and practices that sustain and resource me on this journey are somatic meditation, embodied enquiry and the wisdom of the natural world.

Life is rarely easy, and sometimes our problems are too much to bear alone. Therapy answers our natural, human need to be heard and understood at the deepest level. The experience of feeling truly 'met' by another person can bring a fresh perspective, and help us find the calm and clarity we need for real change and healing to occur.

We all are subject to emotions like low moods, worries and frustrations; it’s all part of being human, the brain we inherit and the effect of our environment. However, when these emotions turn chronic, exaggerated and persistent, we suffer from situations like depression, anxiety and anger, which impact on our lives and well-being. These emotions spill over, adversely affecting our goals and relationships at home and at work

Welcome. Reaching out for support in a time of difficulty or to address issues from the past can feel challenging and unsafe and you have now taken the first step. For all of us, life is multi-faceted with many ups and downs. The process of counselling can be transformative, helping you weather past and present storms, feel safer and more connected with yourself and others, and simply live a more meaningful life with greater satisfaction. I am a BACP registered trainee Counsellor with several years of client experience and also over 15 years working as a mentor and an NHS Midwife. I work in a ‘humanistic-integrative’ manner.

I continue to be deeply interested in understanding the unique struggle each of us undergo throughout our lives, sometimes more than once. In providing a safe, facilitating environment within which a process of unfolding, unlearning and enabling new self-learning, then an exploration can take place between us. Through greater understanding of our innermost self, together we can begin to allow the possibility for change.

I am a warm, honest and open counsellor with a flexible, creative, gentle yet challenging style. The relationship we develop will support you to explore and understand difficult issues; increase self awareness; and improve connection. Many clients come to me saying they feel "confused" "alone" "desperate" "lost". I will work with you to help you uncover and explore your truth, as so often we have lost sight of or do not even know what it is.

Whether you have recently experienced a crisis in life, or are dealing with a more prolonged sense of disillusionment, I offer a compassionate space for you to explore whatever issue brings you to therapy. Beginning to talk about yourself and what you are dealing with may feel new or even unnerving, so I am always mindful to work with you at your own pace. In this process many different issues may come up for you, and through talking together we have an opportunity to explore, reflect upon and understand more fully how and why you feel the way you do.

I offer a safe and confidential space where you will have the chance to share your problems, your difficult feelings, your pain and your life story. Talking about our life honestly and openly, with an empathic and non-judgemental therapist can be a deeply healing process. Having a space where we can be fully ourselves, where we’re invited to slow down, breathe and investigate our inner world and our emotions is necessary, today, more than ever. We live busy lives and for many, it is difficult to stop and notice, most of the time, what is going on inside us. As we reconnect to our feelings and our essence there is an immediate sense

Our counselling offers help in addressing the difficult areas of your life. This might involve loss and grief, relationship troubles or problems at work. Equally, there are times when the cause is not clear but you still feel something is wrong. Colleagues, family and friends can be a great source of support but it's not always easy to confide in those closest to you. At times like these, talking to someone who is not personally involved can make a difference. A professional counsellor will listen to you without making judgments and can help you find new resources within yourself.

Having a fulfilling and lasting relationship is something we all aspire to, but it isn't always easy. Relationships can go wrong for all sorts of reasons and it's difficult to know where to go for help. In my work as a sex and relationship therapist, I work with both couples and individuals to not only get your relationship back on track and improve communication, but also to help it develop so that it achieves its full potential. Often, problems in a relationship can be an opportunity to develop it so get in touch with me if you need some help either to heal a crisis or to make your relationship the best it can be.
