If you have never had therapy before, it can be difficult to know what to expect. Even if you have, different practitioners take different approaches; at the end of the day, we’re all human too. Working with me, you will find a warm and safe environment to share and explore your thoughts, feelings or beliefs. There are hundreds of approaches to therapy; from the more well known psychotherapy + CBT to lesser known ACT Therapy or Compassion Focussed Therapy.

Hello, I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I believe everybody is unique, as such a one size fits all approach does not work. I work from an integrative approach, tailored to work with your needs. This enables you to gain the most out of counselling and achieve what you want to achieve. I offer a relaxed atmosphere where you will be able to examine your thoughts and feelings without being judged and where I will help you to find your own way at your own pace.

Coming to terms with the pressures life brings can be challenging. Counselling may help in gaining a greater insight about who we are and paint a clearer picture, by understanding our circumstances in a confidential environment

Hello, I’ve worked as an integrative counsellor for 15 years, the last 12 being for the NHS. Whilst I currently work with children and young people and their mental health I have also worked in adult organisations such as Mind, Domestic abuse and bereavement services. I feel passionately about mental health and I am always amazed by individuals strength to go on a journey to make the changes that lead to emotional fulfilment and the life clients want. Together we can explore the areas that cause anxiety, distress and low mood and explore unhelpful behaviours and distorted thinking. I look forward to going on this journey with you.

I am an experienced, professionally qualified and BACP registered Counsellor. I hope to be able to offer you a safe, confidential environment that can support you to explore areas within your life that are troubling you, thus promoting awareness and personal resilience. I understand that sometimes there is not always an answer to every problem and sometimes it is simply about taking the journey with another person that actually makes the difference. Counselling is not an easy option it takes courage and strength. It helps us think about things in a different light and from a different perspective.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, relationships with others, feeling isolated or alone in relationships, feeling never ‘good enough’ or battling with addiction this could be due to your attachment pattern. How we view ourself in relation to others and the world around us affects us in everyday life. I am a qualified BA (hons) Integrative Counsellor. This means I draw from different theories such as Humanistic, CBT and Psychodynamic including attachment, which enables me to tailor every session specifically for each individual. I have many years experience working for the NHS and in private practice.

My name is Natasha and I run The Wellness Project. I help individuals and couples to find a more vibrant and easeful way of life. I believe that if we work to understand your unique psychological make-up, with an appropriate level of support and challenge, change is possible. I consider us equally important in the process and will help you to feel comfortable - always working from a place of kindness and respect. My core training is in Transactional Analysis - however, I have significant post qualification training and consider myself to work integratively, drawing on lots of different theories and skills to best help my clients.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Counsellors

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?

The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?

Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?

A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviours. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
