I am an Educational Psychologist who specialises in therapeutic and trauma informed approaches for children and young adults, and I also work with adults offering EMDR therapy. For adults who have trauma in their past that they feel is interrupting them in being able to flourish or move forward, EMDR can provide an alternative to talk therapy and support the reduction of difficult symptoms. For children and young adults struggling in education I offer a holistic approach, working with them, their parent carers and education staff to fully explore the situation and consider how to move forward from a point of 'stuckness'.
Being an Educational and Child Psychologist gives me the benefit of being able to understand and support individuals facing the ongoing symptoms of trauma across the life course. Whether that's the trauma experienced by a child with literacy problems in school, one who has faced significant adverse events or an adult seeking support for their past experienc.
