I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years experience. Individuals coming to see me may be considering therapy for a specific concern or difficulty (e.g. anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties) or have a specific question, event or life transition that needs attention. Others may have noticed that they are stuck in unhelpful and painful patterns. Or perhaps wanting to get to know themselves on a deeper level or change the way they interact with themselves.
I currently work both within the NHS and privately. The main approaches I use are attachment-based (psychodynamic, MBT and TFP) but I also draw on ideas from CBT, systemic and DBT. I believe that everyone is the expert of their own lives and therefore I aim to work collaboratively with my clients and will adapt my approach to best suit their needs.
My priority is to work with you to build a trusting and helpful therapeutic relationship. I will strive for you to feel understood and respected at all times. I have a warm and genuine style, in which my goal is to provide a safe and confidential space where we together explore your personal circumstances, often linking the past with the present.
