A fully registered member of BACP, I use an integrated approach in my client work. Using a person-centered, psychodynamic and humanistic style to keep the client at the centre of all my work, I hope to create a safe space where my clients can feel at ease to work through whatever they need to at their own pace. I am also a fully qualified EFT practitioner (Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as 'tapping') and am able to offer this technique in my client work, along with mindfulness and meditation. Sometimes we need to access more tools, helping my clients find the best fit for them can create lasting change.
Since the pandemic, I have found myself using more mindfulness and meditation with clients, with much success. Helping clients to find alternative ways to access their feelings and challenge personal obstacles has allowed them to help themselves more outside of the therapy room - helping the client to take more control for themselves.
I work with adults only across a range of issues including: suicide ideation, self-harm, depression, attachment style, grief, low self-esteem, sexual orientation, anxiety, anger, survivors of abuse/sexual abuse and trauma. Using a personable approach, I hope to make my clients feel at ease to explore their feelings in a safe space.
