I believe the challenges and stresses of life be they physical, emotional or mental can often provide an opportunity to really look at your life, explore what you want to be different as well as a chance to deepen your relationship to yourself and to others. Listening to your life story and creating a strong therapeutic alliance are important to me in the process of healing and gaining insight.
With over 30 years’ experience in Zimbabwe and now in the NHS, my person-centred way of working has helped me connect with many different people. My therapy is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, attachment, existential approaches to understand the impact of early relationship disruptions and trauma on a person's inner world, thoughts and feelings.
I see therapy as a unique human encounter, a healing journey, where I aim to provide a safe accepting space to encourage self-reflection, bring to light buried thoughts and feelings, and so give you more control of your life.
