Hello, I am Dr Lucy Furlong an accredited HCPC Chartered Clinical Psychologist offering a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk in confidence online or in person at my clinic in Petersfield. My Petersfield clinic is currently held on Wednesdays and I offer online appointments via zoom Monday-Friday. I completed my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2006. My training included working with adults and children with a wide range of difficulties including, anxiety disorders, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, obsessive compulsive disorder and childhood difficulties.
I have over 15 years’ experience working in the NHS and private practice, offering assessment and therapy for individuals. I assess and treat adolescents and adults with a broad range of mental health problems. Using an evidence based approach, I draw on a range of therapeutic models to tailor the therapy to the need of the individuals I work with.
I will work collaboratively with you to help explore how and why you struggle and enable you to understand and manage these challenges more effectively. As you learn to step back from difficulties and the distress caused you will be better able to discover new choices that can help change your life.
