Difficult life events and experiences, particularly the early ones, impact the way we perceive ourselves and relate to others. They often lead to challenging emotions such as fear, anger, anxiety, guilt, or shame. When the emotions remain unexpressed and unprocessed, they may cause physical symptoms, intrusive thoughts, feelings of incompetence and unworthiness, lack of interest, concentration difficulties, stress, poor boundaries, relationship issues, and so on.
My aim is to hold a safe, containing space where your feelings, needs and desires can be expressed. In this space, by exploring your current experiences, past events, early relationship dynamics, and intergenerational patterns, we begin to uncover your whole, true self, which facilitates a more empowered, connected, fulfilling and meaningful way of living.
I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, primarily within the framework of psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate the principles of relational therapy, using the therapeutic relationship as a facilitator of change and growth. When needed, I use EMDR in order to work on processing trauma, coping with anxiety, and establishing internal safety.
