I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, registered in the UK with the British Psychoanalytic Council. I have a PhD in Psychoanalytic Studies from Goldsmiths University of London. I work with clients from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures who suffer from a broad range of issues including dissociative experiences, depression, anxiety, phobic tendencies, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and destructive behaviours. Clients who have experienced abuse, neglect, loss or who struggle to make and keep healthy, sustainable attachments also find it helpful to process and work through such events in a therapy.
Clients often come to therapy already aware of certain patterns, frustrations, traits and behaviours they act out and repeat in their day to day lives. Therapy can help make better sense of such processes, enabling them to see themselves and those around them in a clearer light. Gaining a greater sense of self can in turn make for a richer and fuller life.
I provide a private space in which clients feel listened to and understood. I offer an initial in depth consultation and if appropriate work begins thereafter with weekly 50 minute sessions. Some clients choose to come twice a week. Therapy can become an integral part of a person's life offering a secure base from which to develop and grow.
