Isn’t it strange how we talk the least about the things we think about the most?! Talking about your feelings, your emotions, your behaviours and your thoughts can feel overwhelming and conflicted, not knowing where to begin, this can seem scary and uncomfortable. My role is to support you to acknowledge, explore, accept, and understand them in order to achieve growth & positive change. My philosophy is that you hold your own answers internally but you are unable to access them, working collaboratively we will unlock them using your strengths and gaining empowerment.
I’m qualified and experienced and that’s important when choosing a therapist, however more than that I offer warmth, compassion, empathy, a healthy dose of realism, and a safe non judgemental space, to explore yourself in a way you may never have before. You are unique and so are your reasons for counselling and the goals you are looking to achieve.
The relationship between client and therapist is fundamental to the process in dealing with the issues that are affecting your life. If you believe you would work well with straight talking, honesty and warmth in order for you to be truly heard and understood, knowing that your therapist ‘gets you’ then I might be the therapist for you.
