Psychotherapy is highly effective when working with children and teenagers experiencing a range of emotional and mental health difficulties. I work from a trauma and attachment informed perspective, working to de-escalate emotional distress and build safety and trust in exploring difficult life events. I specialise in a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood, self harm, abuse, neglect, domestic abuse, bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties, school avoidance, and childhood trauma amongst others. I also offer clinical supervision to therapists and reflective spaces for professionals.
I will work to understand your needs and agree a collaborative plan before we commit to short or long term work. I aim to help parents understand how their child is communicating their distress through their actions and work holistically to support the needs of individuals and families. I also offer EMDR trauma therapy to children, adolescents and adults.
I have a lot of experience working in highly distressing and traumatic situations with children and families. I work hard to ensure individuals feel comfortable to discuss their personal difficulties at their pace. I recommend an initial 15-minute consultation which is free to discuss your therapy requirements and to see if I'm suitable for you.
