As an integrative counsellor, I believe that there is not one size that fits all, so I unify a broad number of approaches and tailor my practice to the client’s specific needs. As a registered member of the BACP, I work within its ethical framework to ensure that I maintain safe and professional standards. I have over 10 years of experience working in the helping sector and have provided support to clients from various backgrounds, over the age of 18, with a range of psychological problems.
I draw from an integrative philosophy that combines Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Cognitive-Behavioural theories. I prioritise holistic well-being, considering the whole of the client, both mind and body. I also acknowledge that our mental health does not exist within a vacuum but is impacted by a variety of external forces.
A common thread in my work is the significance of relationships. I see our very existence as shaped by the connections we have with ourselves, the people, and objects around us, past and present. I firmly believe in the healing power of relationships and see many problems as relational in nature.
