Many clients come to therapy with labels like "Depression", "Anxiety", "PTSD". But on their own these labels tells me very little about your issues, needs, or goals. You might be someone that needs a safe, non-judgmental environment to really be free to express yourself in a way you can't elsewhere. Maybe you don't even know how to begin exploring your emotions. It is all too common for us to get stuck in our emotions left over from something in the past, or use more "acceptable" ones to cover the most helpful ones. I'll help you pay closer attention to your emotions as they're experienced in session.
My practice is founded on a person-centered approach. Meaning you're the tour guide of the museum of your life, and my role is to follow alongside you as we explore some of the more cluttered and unclear aspects of your experience.
It can be so scary reaching out for help, and putting your trust into someone else. We can have a brief (& free) chat, where you can share more of what you hope to explore in your life. This will help us understand what you need from me in the therapeutic relationship, and gauge what it'll be like to work with me.
