It is not always easy for children and adolescents to put their feelings and emotions into words and psychodynamic psychotherapy is a therapeutic process which helps children understand and resolve their problems by gently increasing an awareness over time of their inner world. It differs from other therapies in that it aims for deep seated change in emotional development and is conducted at the child’s pace. I am a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist specialising in working with children, adolescents and families. I hold an MA gained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust and a registered and accredited member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I am also a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (TSP).
