When I start working with a new client, I view it as an exploration. Each individual I meet has a unique story and experience of life. The process of untangling and looking at the different parts in a persons life can be challenging but important if one wants to gain a deeper understanding of oneself and ultimately maybe make some changes? I understand the profound need to be heard and how this can be the catalyst for change. We can carry pain and distress, sometimes for years. Being able to trust a therapist and consequently share these feelings can help us manage our stress and possibly build a healthier life.
For more than ten years I have developed a varied and multicultural practice. I endeavour to provide a secure space so clients can with time explore the issues and challenges in their life. For women who have experienced issues around their health, maternity or sexuality I can provide session specifically tailored to these needs.
The initial contact with a therapist can be anxiety provoking. Talking and trusting a stranger is not easy. I take a step by step approach, slowly leading the individual into the process of therapy. I am open to answering questions on how the session works and offering information on they way I work.
