People can benefit from counselling for a wide range of reasons; to deal with thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may be causing distress; for support in times of difficulty; or to seek greater self-awareness and fulfilment in life, enabling growth and deeper understanding. Counselling can give you the opportunity to be heard and to find clarity to enable you to make your own decisions, all in a supportive and confidential environment.
I work with clients to explore how their early life experiences, or significant later life events may still be impacting their current thoughts, feelings and behaviours. By finding a greater awareness of certain learned behaviours, we can work towards acceptance and change.
I practice from a humanistic integrative approach which means that I use theories and techniques from various psychotherapeutic perspectives. I have developed this approach based on my own values, but more importantly so as to be able to work in the way that best suits your needs.
