I am a fully qualified counsellor / therapist with 18 years NHS experience (GP counsellor), and a further 5+ years of private practice. My practice is based in a very welcoming space in the heart of Cowbridge. As an integrative counsellor, I work with my clients to tailor appropriate interventions and help them to set and reach their therapeutic goals. Whatever difficulties you may bring to counselling, and whatever issues with mood, self esteem or anxiety that these difficulties have caused you, there will be a way forward.
I hold a Masters degree in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and I integrate CBT methods with other models of intervention to suit client need. I work one-to-one with adults and young people age 16+. This can be either face-to-face or via Teams or FaceTime if preferred. I can also offer group intervention for issues with self esteem, assertion and confidence.
At our first appointment we will explore your reasons for counselling and plan for any future appointments. Whilst a single session may be helpful for some people, others may wish to have a series of weekly or fortnightly sessions. Whatever the requirement, we will work together to ensure your counselling experience is positive and empowering.
