I am a BACP accredited counsellor and have been practising for around 10 years. I have spent much of that time working in a primary care setting (short-term NHS counselling) and have also worked in universities and the charity sector. I have supported clients with a range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationships, self-esteem, abuse, working through transitional life experiences, and many others. I also have experience of supporting people who have been affected by domestic and sexual violence. I work in person or by telephone.
I am trained as a person-centred counsellor but work integratively, using tools and techniques from other therapeutic models when they may be helpful. I welcome clients of any sexuality, gender, race, ability, religion, or age.
Counselling offers a non-judgemental space where you can gain a deeper understanding of the problems you are facing. You may know what you want to work on, or you may need some time to understand what is making you feel this way.
