I work with most psychological difficulties and aim to provide a safe space to explore your individual experiences and challenges. I aim to develop a shared understanding of your experience to help us establish goals for therapy and beyond. These might include processing difficult experiences and gaining insights into patterns of thinking or behaving that are contributing to current difficulties. These insights can help us to identify and support the development of sustainable skills and strategies that will help you to reach your goals and manage difficult experiences and strong emotions.
I use an integrative approach to tailor therapy to clients’ needs. Core models in my training included cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), systemic therapy, psychodynamic therapy and an elective in cognitive analytic therapy (CAT). Post qualification, I have trained in compassion focussed therapy (CFT) and trauma focused CBT.
It is important to trust and feel safe with your therapist. I am very happy to offer a free consultation to discuss what you are seeking from therapy and to think together about whether you would like to work with me to meet your needs and goals. Please feel free to email me to arrange a convenient time to meet online or in person.
