I believe in the power of opening up, and while I will draw on theory and knowledge to support each individual client, I am led by the client and their individual needs. An ideal client is someone who wishes to build a therapeutic space alongside me, allowing me to facilitate safety and build trust. I am interested in helping others to develop personal growth and insight through the relational dynamics they experience.

We all carry with us a weight of experience that is repressed, denied, distorted or simply misunderstood. We construct narratives that help us to ignore or avoid the parts of our lives that might be unwelcome or unwanted. We struggle with anger, anxiety, guilt, self-loathing and resentment at a huge personal cost. Through talking, in the presence of real listening, we are able to gently explore the truths that have eluded us and are left feeling lighter. This unfurling of what we truly feel and experience sets in motion the life changing process of becoming; of returning to the person we were all along.

Do you worry that you're a failure or not good enough? Do you feel low or anxious? We all experience thoughts and feelings like these at some point, but perhaps you've noticed a greater impact on your relationships and work and this stops you from living the life you want. I understand that it can be overwhelming to speak to a professional about how you’re feeling. I'm an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist providing therapy for a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, loss/life transitions and 'imposter syndrome'. My approach is warm, non-judgemental and compassionate.

Are you finding it hard to connect with people and feel understood? Maybe you’re trying to make sense of a relationship; you used to get on but something’s changed and the idea of talking about it makes your heart race? Or perhaps you have tried but it’s left you feeling ashamed and hurt. Counselling can make room for change.

I mostly work with clients who have been adversely affected by abuse, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I have extended this to work with couples and relationships. I work by tuning into each client’s individual circumstances and listen to how their life experiences have impacted them. I can offer some solutions, such as coping mechanisms for managing trauma responses such as anxiety and depression. I also offer help in developing practical skills in managing narcissistic behaviour, such as carefully considered boundary setting, recognising that boundaries often come with negative consequences.

I'm a Relationship and Couples Counsellor because I believe - and I know from my own experience - that the impact of either a nourishing or a difficult, draining relationship affects our whole lives and how much we are able to engage with the world as our best selves. A crisis, an ongoing difficulty, or just loss of connection can make us feel hopeless and stuck and our sense of well-being is lost. Feeling hopeless with your intimate and sexual relationship can feel lonely and isolating. I will create a safe and unbiased space in which to explore what you are longing for and what is keeping you from having the relationship you want.

The psychologist can help you. Count on the support of a professional. Many think that the psychologist is exclusive for mental illnesses, this is a myth, the psychologist works in several areas and uses the best and specific knowledge to help people to have an improvement, guidance or even a determination that generates doubts in several aspects of your everyday life.

Psychotherapy offers a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore and increase understanding of their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. You may have concerns about events you've experienced, patterns you're engaging in or a general feeling of being stuck or dysregulated. In our sessions, we'll work collaboratively, exploring your inner world, the many “parts” of you from a place of compassion, curiosity, and presence. When you’re able to turn towards even the most challenging parts of you with this new lens, significant shifts begin to emerge. These shifts create space for healing, growth, and lasting change.

Welcome.. I provide a safe, confidential, professional, non-judgemental space for you to explore ways to self-support, bring awareness, compassion and understanding to the areas of life that have become challenging, overwhelming or traumatic. Counselling offers a container where movement and change can occur, where it's possible to find freedom and clarification around the things that weigh us down. I will work with you to identify the strategies and patterns that may restrict you living a fuller life, discover how they were formed, for what reasons and will support you to find ways to evolve and progress where change is possible.

All of us need to find resilience at times of stress, or just to deal with day to day issues that may cause us anxiety and impact on the quality of our lives. Life events such as bereavement or change affect us in different ways with no simple, correct way to respond. I offer a way to share issues and find solutions beyond family and friendship groups, within a therapeutic relationship.

What a world we live in, hey? So much pain. So much drama, and heartache. Yet, also so much beauty, love, and understanding. There's nothing to do except be here now and show up fully, living as best as we can. This is where therapy begins. It may be hard work to change your habits, or to stop your thoughts spiralling. However you may find stillness, presence and recovery. No matter what adversity you've been through, I believe that you can grow from it and gain resilience.
