I am a transpersonal therapist, working in private practice in Suffolk online and in person. I also teach at The Psychosynthesis Trust in London. My journey to psychotherapy began in the field of grief and bereavement. After having worked for a number of years in palliative care and running bereavement groups, I wrote Speaking of Death, a collection of real life experiences of grief. My model of therapy works with the whole person – thoughts, feelings and the body. Its focus is also not just on the presenting problem but holds a space for what is trying to emerge through that problem.
I work with people in a way that is most appropriate for them and do not believe in simply trying to mend brokenness, but rather prefer to work creatively with the client trusting their own innate wisdom.
My main areas of practice and experience are in: grief and bereavement, perinatal mental health, co-dependency & relationships, anxiety & panic attacks, personal crisis and depression, need for self-exploration/finding purpose, low self-esteem and coping with change.
