Choosing a therapist can be daunting, especially when you may be anxious, at a low ebb & if you’ve had no experience of working with one before. My approach is to provide a warm, safe & confidential space for reflection; allowing you to explore your difficulties without judgement. This is an opportunity for you to explore yourself, what troubles you & how this may have been shaped by your past or current circumstances. Many of the things that keep us stuck are out of our awareness and so the aim will be to find a safe, measured way to explore this. The aim of therapy as Jung says: ‘Is not to fix our problems but to outgrow them'.
My approach is Integrative underpinned by Person-Centred, Neuroscience, Psychodynamic and Transpersonal psychology. This broad range is helpful for clients to understand what is troubling them: why they have the emotions and physical reactions they do; to move away from feelings like anxiety, depression or self-blame and to find greater sense of purpose.
