Hi, my name is Aneta. I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, which means that I draw from various approaches, including Gestalt, Person Centred and Psychodynamic, putting the therapeutic relationship at the centre of my work. I have experience working therapeutically with people from all walks of life, but my two main areas of expertise are supporting people to process their trauma (both recent and historic) and working with clients from ethnically diverse communities. I facilitate culturally sensitive therapy with an understanding of issues related to diversity and identity.
I work from a trauma informed integrative perspective and have a substantial experience of supporting people who have experienced trauma, particularly sexual, emotional and physical abuse.I believe in the wholeness of each person, the unity of mind, body and spirit. I therefore incorporate some body work and creative methods alongside cognitive exploration.
I would like to help you to understand what might be holding you back, connect with your inner self and find peace regardless of your life circumstances. I believe that psychological well-being does not mean perfection and getting rid of problems but is rooted in awareness and developing tools to cope with life’s challenges.
