Sometimes we reach a point in our lives where we "get stuck" or find it hard to move on from difficult thoughts, feelings or behaviours. I know because I have been there too. But I believe we all have the capacity to self-heal, change and grow. And if you are reading this, you may wish to start your own journey. Why not begin that now? I offer a safe space to talk through your problems of living and, although working face-to-face with most clients in the Glasgow area, am certified to work safely and ethically online, having completed NCS and ACTO-accredited training.
Many of my cleints come to therapy with problems of living around anxiety, depression, bereavement, personal or working relationships or sexuality. Others with alcohol, drugs or challenging behaviours. Whilst others are just "stuck" and wondering where their lives are going. But all wish to talk openly and honestly with someone who is not there to judge.
In early sessions, collaborative conversation and dialogue helps us establish a trusting therapeutic relationship, develops a shared understanding of what you want from therapy, and helps create a treatment plan that is unique to you. Methods from a wide range of psychotherapeutic approaches are used; some of which are listed below under "therapies offered."
