Hello. I am Andrea and I am the Director of Emerge Psychological Services (EPS). EPS was formed out of a desire to support teens and young adults make positive life choices. I am a Chartered and Registered psychologist with over 20 years experience of working with men, women, and young people. I am passionate about working in a holistic, trauma informed way, that is responsive to each person's unique needs and circumstance. I will work with and alongside you (or the young person) to help support you/them to overcome your/their current difficulties to ultimately realise a happier and more psychologically healthy quality of life.
I am a trained EMDR Therapist and use a variety of therapy models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I will adapt my approach to best meet your needs. I am also trained in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). I specialise in trauma work and engaging hard to reach young people.
Successful therapy requires a strong therapeutic relationship. I am responsive, non-judgemental, compassionate and empathic to enable you to feel comfortable and supported.
