I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with children, young people and adults. Beginning with a FREE ‘get to know you’ session I offer a warm and pragmatic approach to individuals and have experience working with a wide range of clinical issues. I am particularly interested in working with depression, anxiety disorders, body and/or gender dysphoria, addiction, perfectionism and procrastination, social anxiety, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders and performance anxiety
In my practice I emphasise the role of focused and undivided attention in identifying and releasing emotional distress and unresolved traumas, while incorporating and bringing awareness to the new aspects of yourself as they present in the work. Eventually helping to materialise the changes you hope for.
I believe a collaborative approach of recognition and empathy enhances the client's self knowledge and awareness, facilitating an exploration of feelings and unmet emotional needs - leading to healthier ways of expressing those needs and enhancing self acceptance and self worth.
