My name is Amy Howarth and I am a specialist Counselling Psychologist, passionate about working with children, teenagers and adults who are facing challenges in their lives. I have a special interest in working with people who are struggling with anxiety, and low self confidence.
My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate and down to earth. I aim to support the young people and adults I work with to develop a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings and behaviour, to gain helpful strategies to manage tricky situations and internal experiences, and to create positive change in their lives.
I have over 12 years of experience working within the NHS and private sectors. My most recent NHS role was a senior position in a busy Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in London.
