My name is Amandeep Kumar. I am Registered Mental Health Nurse. I am an EMDR Therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and completed specialist training in Child & Adolescent EMDR. I have over 20 years experience working within the NHS. I am completely fascinated by how the mind and body create physical symptoms in the body and this is what can make us feel stuck or have an emotional response to the symptoms. Self-healing and alternative therapies are very close to my heart. I am a Reiki Practitioner and have skills and knowledge in alternative therapies.
I am a member of the EMDR Association UK and Ireland. I am a registered practitioner with the British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA) and a member of the Healer Foundation. I have a vast portfolio of mental health experience ranging from acute adult mental health inpatient care to community mental health service.
I have experience working with all age groups. My NHS career has included working with children and families in Child and Adolescent Mental Health NHS Services (CAMHS) I have gained a range of experience, skills and knowledge in the NHS both in clinical settings and leadership roles. I managed and led the specialist eating disorder service for CAMHS.
