Hello, I am Amanda and I am a Registered Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner who is experienced in working with adults and young adults. Over 14 years I have worked within a number of NHS and private settings. I have vast experience of working with a range of psychological issues including depression, anxiety, trauma and interpersonal/ emotional difficulties. I specialise in Trauma (PTSD) and working with adults with emotional/interpersonal problems linked to childhood. Within my work I utilise several therapeutic approaches which reflects the breath of my training; these include CBT,
Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing, Compassion Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. I have a passion for ensuring any treatment is tailored to the individual and their own needs; making my approach 100 per cent person centred. I will work alongside you to create an understanding of your difficulties from which we will develop a
treatment plan. From this we will explore ways of working upon your areas of needs with the aim of reducing your distress and increasing your sense of well being. I am a warm, approachable and empathetic practitioner who will ensure I consider a holistic approach in my work with you.
