I don't think there are criteria for ‘needing’ therapy. Your life doesn’t have to be falling apart, nor do you need to have a diagnosed mental illness to have therapy. Psychotherapy is about being human and all that involves from anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, addiction, trauma, issues with sex, issues at work, relationships or feeling lost in the world. I'm a trainee Gestalt psychotherapist with the Welsh Psychotherapy Institute and a UKCP member.
