Christine O'Connell Ph.D.

Christine O'Connell, Ph.D., is an affiliate faculty at Stony Brook University and was formerly the founding associate director of the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, where she built a curriculum and helped researchers with effective communication. She was affiliated with the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. O'Connell's research focuses on empathetic communication, art and science collaborations, and communication bias and stereotypes for women in STEM. She is the executive director of Riley's Way Foundation.
