This Blog Is About You

An independent philosopher's take on the complexity of human nature

This blog is about you, dear reader. Some of you may have read my previous blog here, College Confidential, which admittedly was mainly about my getting some heavy post-academia gripes off my chest. But now that I've gotten that out of my system and moved on to a more people-focused line of work (as a real estate agent), I've rediscovered the importance of human interaction: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful. I'd like this blog to be more interactive than most, where my topic ideas come from readers like you.

What would you like to read about regarding human relationships? What do you know or believe to be true about human nature? Which human relationships in your life have been successful, and why? Which have been complete failures, and why? What have you learned about human nature in the process? We can explore broad, philosophical explorations into humanity, such as, are humans fundamentally good or bad? And we can explore the minutiae of human interrelations, such as your inability to muster up any respect for your boss, or your recent brush with family drama this holiday season.

If you can toss some intriguing and complex human relationship-type questions my way, I'll do my best to utilize my philosophical and psychological training, as well as own anecdotal experience with our kind, to try and shed some light on the topic at hand. We can admire wonderful examples of human nature, and make fun of the really terrible ones. I'm excited to dive into this new blog and learn from my readers, and hopefully offer some new insights where possible. Let's dive in and have some fun.
